PRP Preferred Treatment Over Steroid Injection For Tennis Elbow

A recently published article looked at 8 studies that looked at the effects of corticosteroid injection versus Platelet Rich Plasma for lateral elbow tendon pain or tennis elbow.

They concluded that while steroid injections provided short-term relief (2 weeks to 2 months), PRP provided a slower onset, but lasting effects up to a year or longer.
Their conclusion was that based on the evidence, PRP is the preferred treatment over steroid injections.
Other studies have even shown that certain conditions got worse after getting a steroid injection.

The future looks bleak for steroid injections!
